Music has always been an important part of the ministry of Calvary Chapel, from it's beginnings in California in the 60s to the present day. Early on, Pastor Chuck Smith recognized the importance of using music people can relate to, the music of their time, contemporary music. He saw how powerfully God was using it and encouraged many young Christian musicians like Chuck Girard, Paul Clark and Phil Keaggy by giving them opportunites to minister in song. That vision is still an essential part of the worship experience of all Calvary Chapels today, including Harvest Fellowship.

While our worship music style here at Harvest is mainly contemporary, we still sprinkle in some of the great hymns that have inspired the church for centuries.
